Using it well

Treat it like your lap.

  • Keep the opening loose. Two fingers of room around the neck. Never tighten the cord lock around your pet.
  • Supervised and close to home. It's for relaxing together, not for rides or long walks.
  • If they want out, let them out. Unzip the chest seam and let them go.
  • String chewers: pull the hood drawstring out before use.
  • It's warm. Watch for panting, and skip it on hot days.
  • Wash before first wear. New fleece can hold packaging smells. Lint-roll fur off before washing.

How big can my pet be?

It's made for cats and small dogs. Pets sit lower in the pouch as they get heavier, so lighter pets are the most comfortable. It isn't made for bigger dogs.

How does my pet get in?

Unzip the curved seam across the chest, let your pet step in from your lap, and guide their head out through the round opening. Keep the opening loose and zip the seam partway.

What if my pet won't use it?
